Without goals, it is really hard to push for results. That’s what I’ve learned before starting this blog. A concise summary of my progress vs goals can be found here. Keep reading!

Startup now or forever hold your peace. I should be happy it doesn’t work like that, but, entrepreneurotic as I am: every second without my own company feels like a lost battle on the inside. Just how can it be that starting up a proper business doesn’t seem to work for me?

Back with a second update on week 25. I figured it made more sense to describe the dividends of past week to make sure all are captured in the correct post. Blogging certainly is a process. It’s interesting how efficiency and time-saving aspects are relevant for this kind of works. These are actually some subjects that are of interest for my daytime job too!

This month is looking to become the second in a row to exceed last year’s (same month) dividends. For now we’re looking at at least a 7% increase as compared to June 2016. Also are the Adsense and penny-item-thrift-shop-sales continuous in flow rate and direction (so far). You find me in a very happy mood indeed!

Busy weeks, now that there’s finally no real argument to stay inside. works transfer from couch/tv to backyard. Automatically, this also tends to override any blogging activity. Every now and again I tear open my dividend calculator to tweak a little bit more. Only to recognize (days later..) that doing so actually cranked some reference somewhere.. Learning every day: Consistency is truly important.

The 100th post! What other way to celebrate than a record month report! I really am enjoying the heck out of showing all these nice graphs of what developments my portfolio has seen since the start of keeping track in a digital sense. Yes, even though there is still years left before I turn 30, I too have seen the paper bank transcripts telling me there was another 0,50USD in dividends waiting for me to collect.

A while ago I started the cash-or-trash series, where new opportunities were screened. Also today I have pulled the old magnifying glass out of the closet for a close up on an old friend. This share was a part of my portfolio years ago, but kept on decreasing dividends (and kept on doing so ever since I abandoned this ship). ARR and no, this is not about talk-like-a-pirate-day. See what’s up?

A short week this was! Ascension day has changed this Thursday into a day off for the Dutch working class. Early on in the week something funny happened: all of a sudden and without any notice upfront the visitor counter of my blog kept quiet. For a looong time. Well, lucky for me that this blog is not entirely build to create an income (although I did make another 0.50$ last week, thanks so much!). The other surprise was the amount of dividends totalling my month of May till date. A 66% increase (as opposed to last 05-’16) is SIGNIFICANT at the least.

Another week of ups and downs. We started off on sunday with our little babyJ being ill. Where ill kids always are a poor sight, no matter no big or small. So a little less caring about anything else and a lot more focusing on our little man brought me to Wednesday (all of a sudden!) where he appeared to be “As fit as a fiddle and ready for love.” Just saying, this expression exists! And to complete this day as a cherry on a cake: Royal Dutch Shell dividends! But then...

Well rested and with a clear mind this is me posting the 96th blog update already. Having spent a wonderful holiday sipping Sangrias at one of the Canary Islands, the focus is brought back. A great advantage of going on holiday with a small kiddo (who still need their afternoon sleep hours): Read more!

Month of April: closed. A site that has been running 3-figure visitor numbers (daily) steady for the past months. An average dividend distribution that climbed to 70USD per month. Holiday season coming up. And they’re only some highlights!

How odd, just now that this calculation sheet is working for the exported data that my current broker spits out… I found a cheaper house dealer! Not yet talking logos brand names here, but most definitely I’m going to get rid of the green. In this case, not referring to green as money (unless we’re talking transaction fees)!

Almost drowning in opportunities, there is so many things I still have to do. Have to, or should, or wish, or desire. Matters of perspective but the internal struggle keeps rolling round. On top of that, as of lately, I’m in the process of raising the bar in a professional way. Career development is not as easy as it looks.

A few interesting movements have passed since last portfolio update (I believe it was January?). The majority of the portfolio remains unchanged, however, the dividend tracking tool is still under construction. I might even refer to it as my personal Sagrada Familia. But hey, it keeps a man off the streets! Here’s a brand new portfolio update!

Writing week 15 already! In % that is already over 25 into 2017. Time does fly. During the countless moments I’m stuck in entrepreneurotic thoughts on how I want to own my own business I forget how easy we get old.
Monday, 10 April 2017
Just for how long can we continue?
Not relating this question to my blog, because since the revived visitors numbers this blog is experiencing since a few months it charged an internal battery. Figuratively speaking. Not to mention the spirit of the “How to get rich book” that still buzzes around in my head.
Tuesday, 4 April 2017
Something odd has happened.
This blog has been performing just so so in amount of readers, and I really can’t blame the ones who never returned. But lately, visitor numbers went up through the roof like cigars drenched in zippo fluid!

Living on the edge.
Not a life changing one (yet), not by any means a dangerous one. But still an edge, apparently containing a small narrow road uphill. And a steep and very deep rocky bottom on the left. The road to become a successful entrepreneur is full of risks. Say: an attractive challenge to be on the quest to become an ACTUAL entrepreneur. Whereas of lately, blogging joined my portfolio as a means of safety valve. Just to vent excess steam.

Last week I started with: “Another week of dividends, happy to share some good news. First green payments are in: the Terraform Global fund paid its first hard $. A reasonable amount too. “ Little did I know!
Passive income.. A legendary dream for most of us, but the initial investment appears to be quite significant. Having passed some good deals earlier this week, a real sustainable income source is still nowhere to be found. But how hard will this be?

Another week of dividends, happy to share some good news. First green payments are in: the Terraform Global fund paid its first hard $. A reasonable amount too.
Thursday, 9 March 2017
Till date, no dividends were distributed, but there is progress on a number of other passive-income fields bringing in some revenue. All in all, no reason for sad faces here! Although I’m not (yet) enjoying the views as posted by Millennial money, we’ re coming quite close.

Week 9 Dividends Update,
Not too much has happened this week. Dividend-wise. Besides, I’ve introduced some very dear friends (and family) to my hobby of keeping track of my dividend earnings on this blog. In a way, I did not expect this to have this much of an effect on the morale when blogging. Having lost full 100% anonymity, feelings of responsibility have increased by 100%. Now, let’s see what happened to last week’s earnings!

Having closed down the past month of February, it may be clear that the forecasts were a bit too sunny. Still, increase is increase and payment is payment. Keep reading for last month’s update!
Thursday, 23 February 2017
Another quick update for this week’s dividend distributions! I’m really happy with the way my dividends tracker is performing. Having said that, I’m planning on making an empty version1.0 to be used for fellow investors using the same investment package as I am currently working with. This will be material for a later post, because there is a lot more to it. First of all, let’s get down to the numbers. Continue reading for the (preliminary) numbers for week 8!

A while ago (last week) I posted a question out of curiosity. Because I find it interesting to listen to other people, rather than playing the lead myself, I thought to make use of my 600+ followers on Twitter. A great thanks to all (three) voters who took the time to click twice!
Tuesday, 21 February 2017
On the lookout for great investment opportunities I came across an interesting gem that might just be worth taking a closer look. Taking the effort to write a post about it while hoping to share some of this new found intel. Or, to post a bright yellow marker as a warning.

The past few days have been extraordinary. The blog has been performing really well, and it really allows me to set some thoughts aside. Get my ducks in a row and live happily ever after. Structured and organised. Without any doubt, starting a blog has really helped me in gaining better insight of what my portfolio is actually doing. And whether it is making any money. Since my investments are 100% self-supporting (no cash top-ups were performed in the past years, only 1 major withdrawal) monitoring performance is really important!

Having spotted an interesting article a while ago about a young entrepreneur having invested just a couple of bucks in some items that he found to have a large margin. The simple comparison between Chinese sales prices and sales prices at his end of the planet resulted in a flourishing business model. Now, for quite some time I have become an entrepreneurotic. Continuously looking for side hustle and making extra cash. That’s why I figured it is time to put some thoughts on paper on becoming a Reseller of imported goods.

Starting with a bang:
This week, the forecast for my february dividend payments has grown to a stunning 68Euro. Not entirely putting this as a surprise, I have been paying close attention to what some of the folks around me have done. It’s great to see that there is so many colleagues out there that keep track of their portfolio of monthly paying dividend shares. For educational and entertainment purposes.
Thursday, 9 February 2017
Having modified my dividend calculation sheet again I finally have found a way to easily subtract weekly updates from my dumping place of exported data. Too bad that it looks like there are no distributions logged this week! However, the forecast does look promising (even for a February, being a shy month in distributions..)
Monday, 6 February 2017
A great look back at the month of January! Being in this comfortable position, it is important to keep momentum. However, there’s no dividends paid this week. So far for the “bad” news. Another update for the dividend tracker (to also be able to check up on weekly updates rather than only monthly) has reminded me of making backups of my work.
Wednesday, 1 February 2017
Being in the process of blog-optimisation, I have applied some mitigation to comments received on earlier posts (Thanks GT!). In the meantime I’ve lost some of my shyness when it comes to absolute figures. The total invested value is quite a significant part of the total picture in a portfolio update. It puts all earnings in perspective.

January 2017 has been an exceptional month. Having a blog certainly does create an extra virtual incentive to deliver. The incentive being returning views on the blog! Therefore, a big thanks to the supporters, regular visitors and the kind people that have used the Donate button already! Let me share my investing trick with you!
Friday, 27 January 2017
This week has been intense. Mixed feelings mostly. Keeping this post strictly down to business, the weeks was pretty good. Having received a proper sum of dividends again, it looks as if all is well. But is it?
Thursday, 26 January 2017
Long time no see, another update in the search of an ultimate pearl-carrying-oyster. Here’s one that I came across a few days ago and couldn’t stop thinking about: Gobal X funds.
Tuesday, 24 January 2017
To kickstart the day, I tuned in to French rap/hip-hop radio Hot108. Not being a particular fan of this genre, the French language usually makes it sound plus mechant. Exactly what I need sometimes. Now, somewhere in the timeline of this super productive morning I found myself listening to the tunes of O.T. Genasis: Push it.
Thursday, 19 January 2017
Week 3, for now I’m still able to get an update out but then again: this is only week 3. And already now, pressure is building because of the agenda for this period. Travelling around other blogs covering dividends and personal investment strategies I find that there is just as many strategies as there is people around. In a way that is a comforting thought: this also means that it is not as easy to class a Right or Wrong in investment philosophy. The only thing that counts is: black numbers.
Friday, 13 January 2017
The second week, the second update for 2017 dividends. Consistency is key in blogging, that is what I noticed! Because there is not too much to talk about dividend-wise (only very small payments till date) I’ll also include for some of my other plans here.
Thursday, 12 January 2017
Having pulled together a perfectly functioning dividend tracker sheet for the year 2017, I can finally sleep again. Really I have had a few nights of bad sleep just because my brain was fried with Excel and Google Spreadsheets formulas. Lucky for me, I have some real good examples from colleague-bloggers/investors.

This might look a bit funny, an overall comparison before my actual 2016 results are in. Not to worry, the 2016 figures will follow tomorrow! My database is kind of a pain to work with but also this is part of the 2017 development programme I have in mind.

2017 Resolution time, fresh start, fresh image. No more settling for half work. In order to close out an above-expectations year respectfully, this post is as per the 2017 fresh-cut-format. Less fuzz, just stats, facts and above all, figures.
I wish you guys a real good one this year.
