147. November 2017 Portfolio update

What happened last month? A new strategy on the pursuit to diversification automatically results in more changes in the portfolio. This month, my portfolio will (in terms of dividends) cross the 2000 USD a year limit. That is, if the portfolio is maintained to health.

143. Week 43, Dividend status update 2017

End of week 43. Writing this piece after having enjoyed an evening out for dinner with the 3 of us. So far, MrsTDLH is taking good care of our second bun in the oven. This includes taking the family out for treats every now and again. On the other hand, reading blogs about living frugal, and saving on all kinds of ways, it is like stepping outside of my comfort zone.

142. Goal and strategy considerations week 43, 2017

Apparently, this part of the worlds is doing quite well. In Mr. Draghi’s speech of this afternoon a significant cut in purchasing of bonds after January 2018 (Was 60 bln, will be 30bln. PER MONTH). Apparently, 2.165.000.000.000 Euros is spent in European economies ever since 2015.

137. Week 40, Dividend status update 2017

My first week in a new position at a new employer and most certainly in a very different geographical place. Only a few km from home! Time to ride some bike! Really, I will try this when it stopped raining.

134. Week 38, Dividend status update 2017

Another record for this month. September is (historically speaking and in terms of dividend earnings..) not known for being the biggest firecracker of the calendar. So far, 2017 has been a turning point in my investment policy and results. But, this year is not all fun games.

133. Individual performance: Just Energy

Yesterday, I went ahead and purchase the 40th position in my portfolio. Already for a while, my thoughts are going over renewable opportunities. Which company is is the best bet in a rapidly evolving market that plays the (probably) most important role in people’s lives today?

131. Individual performance: PSEC

Taking a closer look as to why the share price of Prospect Capital went Diligently, Dynamically and Determined. through the floor. Also, there are some disturbing rumours about dividends here and there. PSEC under the microscope.

Piling up on small payments. Diversification in terms of investment sectors was one of the things still outstanding but now covered (in this update). On to find the next hurdle, or point of improvement for a more steady and secure dividend income!

128. Week 36, Dividend status update 2017

Really enjoyed being a blogger for a while (and still do!). For the past few months the posts are viewed quite well. But occasionally, when someone takes time to comment and scribble some kind words that does work motivational!

127. Individual performance: NYSE:T

AT&T, what is happening to you? Not too long ago I feared to have missed the train on it’s way up. But now, since the day time job has become less stressful, my eyes fall upon an article posting AT&T @ 52week LOW. What did I miss? And more specifically, is this a gold-wrapped BUY opportunity with stadium-lights fixed on it? Let’s find out some more!

125. Individual performance: MORL (the ETRACS series, pt. 1)

A while ago I started the cash-or-trash series, where new opportunities were screened. Now, it is important to find new opportunities, it may even be wiser to check up on any hazardous cargo that is lingering round in the portfolio. In this update  I have pulled the old magnifying glass out of the closet for a closer checkup on an old friend.

121. Week 34, Dividend status update 2017

Post 121. Just a small recap on major happenings that have happened in the months this blog exists:
Brexit, ongoing headache;
POTUS Trump, more or less transforming into a headache;

These days, with a dizzy USD moving itself  off the dancefloor at an impressive speed given the circumstances,  I am happy to have a diverse portfolio. However,

120. Week 33, Dividend status update 2017

Last week I finally got down to some blog-structure-updating. No life-changing stuff, just some buttons that should make exploring this site a bit more user friendly. After all, the audience for this blog is growing steadily. Which was never really my first objective, but still a development I’m quite proud of.

119. Goal and strategy considerations Update week 33, 2017

The force of compounding dividends. Although it does indeed promise a huge leverage when talking longer terms, when is enough actually enough?

118. Week 32, Dividend status update 2017

Holidays, all over the place. Mostly been working in my garden again. Lucky me there’ ve been some new purchases in my portfolio that included me in their monthly dividend distribution list.

114. Goal and strategy considerations update July 2017

Where am I and where am I heading? By being able to draft up and spit out numerous charts it is now time to get more structured in keeping track of the goals and strategies.

113. July 2017 Dividend update

Straight back to business, that's what this blog was about in the first place. Still I like to thank Pollie and DH in particular for taking the time and effort to respond!

So far for the month of July. Ups and downs here and there, but most of all I’ve come to realise that strategies and goals require a thorough shake and polishing every now and again. Should circumstances request so.

111. Week 29, Dividend status update 2017

Enjoying my latest gizmo in my dividend tracker sheet. Although, it’s not all bright lights and rainbows. Now that I’ve been able to draw up an actual visualisation of the dividend development it becomes clear that my portfolio is not a sustainable one. Let’s see what happened!

108. June 2017 Goals Investing Update: Am I on Track?

104. Week 26, Dividend status update 2017 and entrepreneurotic startup thoughts

Startup now or forever hold your peace. I should be happy it doesn’t work like that, but, entrepreneurotic as I am: every second without my own company feels like a lost battle on the inside. Just how can it be that starting up a proper business doesn’t seem to work for me?

103. Week 25#2, Dividend status update 2017

Back with a second update on week 25. I figured it made more sense to describe the dividends of past week to make sure all are captured in the correct post. Blogging certainly is a process. It’s interesting how efficiency and time-saving aspects are relevant for this kind of works. These are actually some subjects that are of interest for my daytime job too!

102. Week 25, Dividend status update 2017

This month is looking to become the second in a row to exceed last year’s (same month) dividends. For now we’re looking at at least a 7% increase as compared to June 2016. Also are the Adsense and penny-item-thrift-shop-sales continuous in flow rate and direction (so far). You find me in a very happy mood indeed!

101. Week 23-24, Dividend status update 2017

Busy weeks, now that there’s finally no real argument to stay inside. works transfer from couch/tv to backyard. Automatically, this also tends to override any blogging activity. Every now and again I tear open my dividend calculator to tweak a little bit more. Only to recognize (days later..) that doing so actually cranked some reference somewhere.. Learning every day: Consistency is truly important.

100. May 2017 dividend update

The 100th post! What other way to celebrate than a record month report! I really am enjoying the heck out of showing all these nice graphs of what developments my portfolio has seen since the start of keeping track in a digital sense. Yes, even though there is still years left before I turn 30, I too have seen the paper bank transcripts telling me there was another 0,50USD in dividends waiting for me to collect.

99. Trash-or-Cash ARMOUR

A while ago I started the cash-or-trash series, where new opportunities were screened. Also today I have pulled the old magnifying glass out of the closet for a close up on an old friend. This share was a part of my portfolio years ago, but kept on decreasing dividends (and kept on doing so ever since I abandoned this ship). ARR and no, this is not about talk-like-a-pirate-day. See what’s up?
